On 21 May, the ADPP Vocational School Bissorã, in partnership with FUNDEI, held a graduation ceremony for 200 young trainees, marking the completion of a vocational training programme focused on the development of technical and practical skills.
This milestone represents another step in the ongoing effort to promote vocational education as a tool for youth empowerment, highlighting its importance in creating employment opportunities, encouraging self-employment, and supporting the development of local communities.
The graduates successfully completed training programmes in various technical fields, including Electrical Installation, Plumbing, Construction, Agriculture and Livestock Production, Seasonal Fruit Production, and Fruit Processing. These areas represent key sectors of the local economy, offering strong potential for practical application and a direct impact on improving community livelihoods.
The ceremony featured the presentation of certificates and professional starter kits, symbolising not only the completion of training but also the transition towards the practical application of the skills acquired. These resources provide important initial support to help young people start or strengthen their professional activities independently.
Throughout the training programme, participants developed technical competencies, problem-solving skills, and greater readiness to meet the demands of the labour market. The process also contributed to strengthening their self-confidence, sense of responsibility, and vision for the future.
Each certificate awarded reflects months of dedication, hard work, and continuous learning, providing a solid foundation for building more stable and sustainable career pathways.
ADPP Vocational School Bissorã and FUNDEI congratulate all graduates on this important achievement and reaffirm their joint commitment to promoting high-quality vocational training that is practical, relevant, and aligned with the development needs of Guinea-Bissau.
This investment in young people continues to be one of the fundamental pillars for building a more inclusive, sustainable future with greater opportunities for all.
