The 4th Meeting of the Steering Committee was held on July 13, 2026, at the National Headquarters of the APICA GNB Project in Bissau. The session was chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Environment and Climate Action, Mr. Carlos Pinto Pereira (MAAC), with the participation of Mr. João Lona Tchetna, Director of the National Environment Institute (INA), serving as President of the Steering Committee.
The main goal of the meeting was to strengthen the strategic governance of the APICA GNB Project through a participatory review of the implementation progress, coordination among partner institutions, and strategic decision-making to guide the next phase of activity execution.
The meeting brought together representatives from ADPP GUINEA-BISSAU, as the executing entity and Secretariat of the Steering Committee, the Observatoire du Sahara et du Sahel (OSS) Sahara and Sahel Observatory, as an accredited entity with the Green Climate Fund and observer of the meeting, as well as other institutions that make up the Steering Committee, reaffirming their joint commitment to effective, transparent, and results-oriented implementation.
