
On March 6 and 7, 2026, the 5th Basic Social Services Fair was held in the Matandim/Bôr neighborhood and surroundings, in Bissau, under the motto "Together for the Most Needy People".
The initiative was organized by the Technical Group for Social Protection (GTPS) and was chaired by the ADPP GUINEA-BISSAU, bringing together public institutions, civil society organizations and community associations with the aim of bringing essential services closer to communities and strengthening access to social protection.
Main results achieved during the fair:
•611 health consultations carried out
90 men | 521 women
• 126 children (0–7 years) registered
52 boys | 74 girls
•166 people and children benefited from the distribution of clothes
• 807 people served in total
156 men | 651 women
These results demonstrate the importance of collaboration among institutions and communities to guarantee a basic social access supports to most vulnerable communities
