31 August 2026, Bissau, Guinea-Bissau, ADPP Guiné-Bissau, implementing entity of the APICA GNB Project, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development have officially signed a Partnership Agreement to strengthen collaboration in the implementation of project activities in the Cacheu and Oio regions.
The signing ceremony took place on 31 August 2026 at the offices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Bissau. The event was attended by the Director-General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Bacar Demba Embaló; the Executive Director of ADPP Guiné-Bissau, Fernando Binhafa; and members of the national APICA GNB Project team.
The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation between ADPP Guiné-Bissau and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, supporting the implementation of activities aimed at strengthening agricultural systems and improving the resilience and livelihoods of communities in the project’s target regions.
Through this partnership, both institutions reaffirm their shared commitment to promoting sustainable, inclusive and climate-resilient actions, while strengthening cooperation to address the challenges faced by communities in Cacheu and Oio.
The signing marks an important step in consolidating institutional collaboration and advancing the objectives of the APICA GNB Project, contributing to more resilient agricultural production systems and improved living conditions for communities in north-western Guinea-Bissau.
