On June 23, 2026, the Cacheu Regional Team of the APICA GNB Project held a Community Listening session in the Nhelim community, in the Cacheu region, with the aim of gathering information and identifying the training needs of the project’s beneficiary communities.
This activity falls under Component 1 – Development of Government and Civil Society Technical and Institutional Capacities, which aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the different actors involved for better adaptation to climate change.
During the mission, meetings were held with community leaders, farmers' associations, observer groups, management committees, and local extension workers, allowing a better understanding of the communities' reality, the challenges they face in their daily lives, and their main training needs.
The contributions collected will serve as a basis for developing a Training Plan adapted to local needs, ensuring more effective community participation in the implementation of project activities and strengthening their resilience to the impacts of climate change.
