An experience that works. A technique that is shared. A solution found to a concrete problem.
Much of this knowledge is developed in the field and passed from person to person, through experience and knowledge-sharing within communities themselves.
In Guinea-Bissau, where 80% of the population works in agriculture, learning and exchanging knowledge is also a way of responding to production challenges, protecting natural resources and adapting to climate change.
It is in this context that ADPP-GB works with communities and Farmers’ Clubs, an approach developed by the organisation since 2008. In 2025, this work involved 9,692 farmers, contributing to the promotion of more sustainable agricultural practices and strengthening food security.
The practices promoted include crop diversification and rotation, soil cover and the use of adapted varieties, combining scientific knowledge with traditional and local knowledge.
Across its Agriculture and Environment interventions, ADPP-GB reached 62,991 people in 2025.
Because, in the field, learning is also part of what we cultivate.
