On 2 February 2026, The Teacher Traing College DNS-Bachil hosted the official launch of the Raising Awareness project, funded by the Dutch Embassy in Senegal, focused on communities in the regions of Cacheu and Oio.
The project aims to increase community resilience and protect local ecosystems by addressing challenges such as deforestation, illegal hunting, and destructive fishing practices.
Main objectives:
Strengthen community responses through environmental education.
Monitor impacts and promote behavioural change.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of ADPP Guinea-Bissau, the project coordinator, trainers, and trainees, symbolising a shared commitment to environmental sustainability, community development, and quality education.
