From 4 to 7 March 2026, Maputo, Mozambique is hosting the PROCULTURA Results Presentation Event, which concludes tomorrow. This meeting brings together institutional partners, public decision-makers, artists and cultural professionals to reflect on the project’s journey since 2019, celebrate its achievements, and analyse the impact achieved in the PALOP countries and in Timor-Leste.
Over nearly seven years, PROCULTURA – Promotion of Employment in Income-Generating Activities in the Cultural Sector in the PALOP and Timor-Leste has made a significant contribution to strengthening the creative economies, promoting employment opportunities and enhancing the value of the cultural sector in the participating countries.
ADPP Guinea-Bissau is represented at the event by Buon Olossato, Grant Administrator, who is actively participating in the sessions dedicated to sharing experiences, learning and assessing the results achieved. During the implementation of the project, ADPP Guinea-Bissau worked to promote cultural initiatives and support income-generating activities, highlighting the importance of culture in community development.
ADPP Guinea-Bissau expresses its gratitude for the support and partnership of the project’s main funders and managers: the European Union in Guinea-Bissau, Camões – Portuguese Language Centre in Bissau, and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, whose contributions have been essential for strengthening the cultural sector in the PALOP countries and Timor-Leste.
The event also includes a cultural programme celebrating the artistic diversity of the region, featuring theatre, music, and activities for young people and children, reinforcing creativity and innovation within the cultural sector.
