Yesterday, 6 May 2026, the second meeting of the Technical Working Group took place in the meeting room of the Institute of Biodiversity and Protected Areas (IBAP Guiné-Bissau), as part of the APICA GNB project.
The session brought together technicians, specialists and institutional representatives with the purpose of reviewing, discussing and carrying out the technical pre-validation of two important training documents:
- Community Awareness Manual on Climate Change, Mangrove Ecosystem Restoration and Management
- Environmental Education Manual
Throughout the session, participants shared technical inputs, practical recommendations and suggestions for improvement aimed at strengthening the quality and relevance of the manuals. Particular attention was given to ensuring that the content reflects local realities, remains clear and accessible, and effectively responds to the needs of different target audiences.
This collaborative process represents an important step towards creating effective educational tools that support environmental awareness and sustainable development initiatives across communities.
Through the APICA GNB project, commitment continues to be strengthened towards building local capacities, promoting environmental education and encouraging sustainable practices for ecosystem conservation and the mitigation of climate change impacts in Guinea-Bissau.
