APICA GNB: Strengthening Climate Resilience in Coastal Communities
Today, February 12th, 2026, the 3rd Meeting of the Steering Committee of the APICA GNB project – "Adaptation of Agricultural Production Systems in the Coastal Areas of Northwest Guinea-Bissau" – will take place, funded by Green Climate Fund (GCF).
The project, implemented by ADPP GUINEA-BISSAU, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Biodiversity and Climate Action (MABAC) and with the support of Observatoire du Sahara et du Sahel (OSS) Sahara and Sahel Observatory, aims to:
Strengthening the climate resilience of coastal communities
Improving livelihoods and food security
Promoting sustainable development adapted to climate change
During the meeting, the project's progress reports are being presented, the challenges and opportunities identified are being discussed, and the strategic guidelines for the next phase are defined.
This session reinforces dialogue and cooperation between all partners and stakeholders involved.
This meeting reaffirms the APICA GNB 's commitment to supporting the most vulnerable communities in Guinea-Bissau, ensuring a more resilient and sustainable future for all.
