On 10 July 2026, the Observatory Group (OG) of the APICA GNB Project in the Oio region visited the small poultry farm established by former scholarship recipient Quintino Mané in the Gã-Lomba community.

Quintino Mané successfully completed the Short-Cycle Animal Husbandry Course at the ADPP Vocational School Bissorã (EVB), delivered under the APICA GNB Project. Following the training, he launched his own poultry farming business, applying the knowledge and practical skills acquired during the course.

The visit aimed to monitor the progress of the enterprise, assess the results achieved, and better understand the impact of the vocational training in creating income-generating opportunities and improving local livelihoods. The follow-up also provides valuable insights into how project beneficiaries are applying their skills to build sustainable businesses and contribute to their communities.

Through continuous investment in vocational education, skills development, and entrepreneurship, the APICA GNB Project is helping young people create resilient livelihoods while supporting sustainable development in the north-west coastal areas of Guinea-Bissau.
