Today we mark World Health Day, a moment that reminds us that health is a fundamental right and a shared responsibility. In Guinea-Bissau, it remains essential to join efforts, strengthen partnerships and invest in solutions that ensure access to quality healthcare for all.
ADPP Guinea-Bissau considers health one of its priority areas, with the support of The Federation Humana People to People and various partners, all committed to improving the living conditions of the population.
On 27 March, an induction training session was held for the External Quality Assessment (EQA) applied to rapid tests for HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B and C. The session was aimed at supervisors and those responsible for the team of community activists from the Céu e Terras Clinic, under the Safe Space project, funded by Expertise France.
EQA plays a key role in strengthening the quality and credibility of testing in the field through the rigorous verification of procedures, technical competencies and consistency of results — an essential step in ensuring trust in the services provided to communities.
The training combined both theoretical and practical components, providing concrete tools to strengthen the teams’ operational capacities. It also offered an opportunity to update procedures, share best practices and ensure the rigour of community-based interventions.
