ADPP Vocational School Bissorã provides young people with knowledge, professional skills and capacities to respond to the challenges of work of the World of today and tomorrow.
Through its vocational training programmes, students develop technical skills in different professional areas while strengthening their management abilities, cultural awareness, teamwork skills, and participation in community development.
The school promotes equal opportunities by supporting young women in acquiring new skills and contributing to their social and economic independence. The surrounding communities benefit from essential services, mobilisation activities, educational initiatives, and cultural events promoted by the school.
Since the beginning of the project, approximately 3,043 students have completed their training.

The training programmes combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience, providing students with skills that respond to labour market needs and create opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
Through vocational training and entrepreneurship development, the school supports young people in building their future while contributing to the social and economic development of Guinea-Bissau.

ADPP Guinea-Bissau works with national and international partners, who share a common vision of empowering young people, strengthening communities, and creating sustainable development opportunities.
Since 2018, the African Development Bank has supported ADPP Vocational School Bissorã in training students in agricultural techniques and entrepreneurship. The partnership supports community development activities, contributing to improved livelihoods and stronger local capacities.
Through this partnership, the project provides short-term training programmes lasting 45 to 60 days, targeting 500 beneficiaries.
The training combines theoretical and practical components, supporting students in developing business ideas and creating income-generating opportunities.
Through the Farmers’ Clubs “Adaptation of Agricultural Production Systems in the Coastal Areas in the Northwest Guinea-Bissau” APICA-GNB, 400 students will receive training at ADPP Vocational School Bissorã in areas related to climate change adaptation and sustainable practices.
In 2025, Orange Foundation approved support for the establishment of a Digital Centre at ADPP Vocational School Bissorã.
The initiative includes installing digital equipment and building the capacity of teachers and students, strengthening digital skills and access to technology.
In 2025, ADPP Vocational School Bissorã received Sustainable Energy Skills Certification for Off-Grid Domestic Installation Technicians at the ECOWAS regional level.
This certification strengthens the recognition of the school’s training programmes and expands professional opportunities for graduates.
