Mission and Vission of 2025 Annual Progress Report

VISION

Our approach is to promote solidarity among people by establishing a foundation and creating an organisational framework so that many people participate actively in the development of the country and thereby shape their future.

Human Rights and Gender Equality, economic and social empowerment, environmental sustainability, and awareness of current world issues are cross-cutting themes in all ADPP-GB programmes.

ADPP-GB believes that every person has the same right to the best possible life, meaning people need to join forces, agree to move forward and support each other in creating an environment where all have a good life, that each person contributes and is part of the local and global community.

ADPP-GB implements projects in 4 main programmes:

  1. Education
  2. Agriculture & Environment
  3. Health
  4. Economy and Entrepreneurship

Openness and inclusion are keys to human diversity and to create a world where everyone plays an active role in shaping the future.

Humana People to People Federation

ADPP-GB is a member of the Federation for Associations connected to the International Humana People to People Movement. It comprises 30 independent national member associations.

The Federation supports its members in delivering critical on-the-ground programmes across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. This support covers programme development, project management and operations, financial management assistance, and help to advance our shared agenda and build influence through key relationships and partnerships.

 Estudents in the theory class

ADPP-GB has, in the year 2024, been certified, for the second time, through an external audit by ACPO SA of Switzerland for governance policies, procedures, and their implementation, using the NGO Governance Benchmark by NGO Governance Standards SA of Geneva, Switzerland. The standard was developed by Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS) to provide non-governmental organisations with a management tool designed to highlight their key strengths and weaknesses in their operations. It targets three main objectives:

1) demonstrate evidence of accountability, 2) strengthen trust with their donors, and 3) identify areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency.

ADPP-GB had its first certification in 2021 by SGS.

Partnerships

The projects and activities presented in this progress report are all results of partnerships that we value immensely.

Partnerships between ADPP-GB and public and private funders made the investment in social, economic and human development possible.

ADPP-GB and the partners enter into a symbiotic cooperation, building on common visions and ideas and ending in activities and projects, where energy, experience and resources make things happen. Truly people to people effort.

ADPP-GB is proud to work with partners, including national and local governments, foundations, the private sector, multilateral agencies and international organisations. We want to thank all our partners for their continued support and commitment to working with the people on the ground and pursuing much needed development for positive, lasting change.
