The Teacher Training CollegeDNS-Bachil, located in the Cacheu Region, held another edition of its Academic Week from 5 to 7 June, bringing together students, teacher trainers, family members, representatives of local government institutions, and community members in an atmosphere marked by learning, sharing, and celebration.
Over the course of three days, the school community took part in a diverse programme of cultural and educational activities, including music, dance, singing, lectures, games, and opportunities for exchanging experiences. These initiatives created spaces for interaction and reflection, strengthening the connection between the school and the community while reinforcing the role of education in the country's development.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of ADPP Guinea-Bissau, who highlighted the importance of education and the role of teachers in building more aware, resilient, and future-ready communities.
Representing the Executive Director of ADPP Guinea-Bissau, Partnership Manager Malam Camará emphasised that teachers play a fundamental role in promoting sustainable development and addressing the challenges posed by climate change and social inequalities. On the occasion, he advocated for greater investment in education, stressing that “education is the key that shapes the future of every nation”.
The Academic Week once again affirmed its position as a space for meeting, learning, and celebrating education, reflecting the commitment of the Teacher Training College DNS-Bachil and ADPP Guinea-Bissau to training teachers who can contribute to the social, environmental, and economic development of Guinea-Bissau.
Through initiatives of this nature, DNS-Bachil continues to strengthen its ties with local communities and promote quality education, which is essential for building a more sustainable future for the country.
